Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I made the mistake of putting my trust in Georgia Vision Center.  This was back in July, 2015.

I saw this OD, Joey Arencibia for a Medicare paid for Eye Exam.

When he was done, I asked him for my prescription so I could take it to Walmart to get glasses and frames.

This Joey Arencibia would NOT give me the prescrition when he heard that I wanted to take it elsewhere.

He called in a staff member who assured me that I would get a GOOD DEAL from them.

This Good Deal was far from any truth.  In hindsight, I should have demanded the prescription and ran out of the office.

Instead, like a fool, I put my trust in them.

I was shown some DISCOUNTED FRAMES for $ 50.  I selected one, and it turned out to be bent - or they bent it when making the glasses.

I ended up paying over $300 for progressive lenses with a self darkening lense.

When I got the glasses, two weeks later, they did not fit well.  The frame appeared to be bent.

The technician tried to straighten them out, but WARNED ME  that THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF THE FRAMES BREAK.

The bill I paid showed the frames being $100 instead of the $50 I was told.

When I bought this up to the Office Manager, she was VERY RUDE AND VERY NASTY.  She said that something else was discounted, although I cannot see how.

I tried to file a complaint with a Georgia State Agency, but that went nowhere.

I went back there several times to get the frames right, but they never were right for me.

I had to buy certain padding material from Walmart to fix the problems.

Also, I went to another Optical Place, and they did a better job in straightening out the frames.

NOW HEAR THIS:

No one Optical Office has the right to withold your eye glass prescrition.  They should give it to you so YOU can decide where to buy glasses and frames.

What this Georgia Vision Center did to me, is against the law.

One year later, their office had the nerve to call me saying they wanted me to make an appointment with them for another vision exam.

I told them that I would NEVER come back to their office after the horrible way they treated me.

I would advise anyone, out there, to verify that the Optical Office you go to for an eye exam has a good reputation.

For me, it is too late, but I am older and wiser now.

Glad we no longer live in Georgia.
