I am having trouble with Global-Automotive (A seller on Ebay) I purchased ignition coils from them back in March for my Daughters car. The only reason I bought them off of ebay from Global-Automotive was that the listing stated that there was a lifetime warranty on them. Well about 2 weeks ago, one of the coils failed. I contacted them through ebay and received no response. I called them on the phone to see what I should do about returning the coil to get a replacement. They said that it must have been installed improperly. I explained to them that I am an ASE Certified Automotive Technician and more that qualified to install them. I was then assured that someone would be contacting me through ebay to give me instructions on how to return the coil for a replacement. I still received no response from them. I called a few more times and got no answer and even tried to contact them through ebay with no response.
I wrote ebay to let them know of the situation but since it has been over 60 days I dont think they will do anything about it.
If you are thinking about buy from Global-Automotive you might want to think twice. I guess I should have done a little more research about them before I bought the coils.

Granted they have conducted 17,675 transactions...ebay was not hiding the fact that they have had 265 negative ratings in the past 12 months.  Did you not browse through any feedback before purchasing from them? On a side note, I did..and to this companies defense..it seems they respond to every comment and attempt to make good.

Ebay buyer protection is certainly not going to cover a transaction for a lifetime. If the company is claiming a lifetime warranty and not honoring it, I would think someone would have posted this in the comments.

Now the good news. As a rule and policy, ebay will not deal with a dispute after 45 days...but there is an exception. If others have had similar problems, they will investigate, up to 180 days or longer in some cases. Contact other buyers who have left negative feedback, you can get their info from the comments. You may still have a chance but get on this ASAP !.

And have your currently valid ASE certification number on hand.
