Unfortunately I am another victum to the Global Financial's saga. I would like to know what we all can do to prosecute these crooks. Isnt there an agency we can have investigate who started the website(Globalfinancial.CC) and the tollfree number(1866-411-4466). $221.95 is alot of money to have ripped off and my bank not able return or dispute the charges because there was no tracking number or telephone number with the transaction. Recently there was an unauthorized ACH withdrawal from my bank acct for $49.95 from an internet company 1rate.com. There was also no tracking or tollfree number associated with the transaction. Im not positive that this is directly related to Global Financial but it is coincidental. Everyone needs to check their account statement closely. Remeber these crooks still have our account numbers thus access to getting more funds from our accounts.

Global Financial Is Out Of Business As Of May 19th 2003

From doing online research, I have come up with the name of the Bank that Global Financial had its accounts with. First American Bank phone number 1-480-785-2262 I called First American yesterday and I was told that Yes Global had been a client of theirs, but that Global had been shut down on May 19th 2003. You might want to speak with First American about giving you back your money as they have reimbursed some people already.

I actually did get the "packet" from 1rate, here is the information they sent to me: 1Rate.com 20033 Detroit Road Annex Building Rocky River, Ohio 44116 (440)356-2501 (440)356-3087 In my letter it also gives a little more info: "Remember with 1Rate.com's Unlimited Long Distance Plan there's no risk because you haven't switched your long distance carrier and we know you'll enjoy the savings. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with 1Rate.com's Unlimited Long Distance Plan, call or fax our customer service department and billing will cease with your next billing cycle; and if you have any questions regarding your 1Rate.com account or would like to request call detail information, please call our Customer Service Department at 877-917-6100. Fax number 877-245-5400." I called to disconnect, and haven't had any problems since. Good luck, also, send a letter to Brent Crowder- Office of Consumer Affairs 2 MLK Jr Dr., E. Tower Atlanta, Ga. 30334 or call, (404)463-8470 or e-mail, [email protected] he has an investigation going on right now. Call your bank, how can they have given the money out of your account if they didn't know who to give it to? or how to get it to them? It is illegal for them (Global) to collect money from you on a call they initiated. Tell your bank that. My bank gave me my money back, after almost two months. Good Luck,

Well, there is some truth to that statement. Yes , reps were told to rush through the verification process on tape, and yes they were also told to let the customer know that they were not to ask questions until after the recording had stopped, ( that way we could have their " yes " on tape ) . Bottom line is Buyer Beware the " telemarketing game " sucks For all that were involved. I used to defend the company that I worked for. Now I say screw them. They walked away with my money, your money, and my self respect. I am going to find a new job, life will go on , and this will be my last post, I cant spend anymore energy on this site as my rent still needs to be paid , my bills keep coming , and my pockets are empty. I hope everyone retrieves the money they deserve. File law suites and soak the dirty bastards for all their worth. For the rest of us " directel " folks waiting on paychecks ...... dont hold ur breath , they are doing nothing right now to obtain funds , and to be honest after reading about the pain and misfortune of others, I think that the " customers " deserve to see the money we were trained to take from them first. Sorry , but fair is fair and although I too lost it all, i learned a much more valuable lesson Rual is not a " f*g ". Good Luck to all , and for the love of God, PUT THIS THING TO BED , ITS OVER!!!!!

Marie, I am sorry to hear that you got ripped off as well. I will let you in on one thing CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT. When you were going through verification with Global Financial at the end of the recoding they ask you if you would like this free long distance package(free for 10 days then 49/95 a month afterwards),but you have to cancel it on your own. And you aren't given a specific number to call. 1rate is taking 49.95 out of your account because you simply said "ok". They will continue to do so until you do something about it. Your best bet is to close your account and open a new one.
