Global International Inc., Global Management Inc. lottery winner rip-off! Fake cashier checks! Toronto Ontario
They started calling me telling me I won $5,366,770 to be divided up between 17 winners. I ignored the calls. Then one day the sent me a letter in the mail w/a cashier's check in the amt $6700 I was instructed to deposit the $6700 cashier check into my bank account and then send them back a $6300 money gram to pay for taxes and other charges.
I took the cashier check to the bank told them my story they checked into the matter.. The check is a FAKE all claims are untrue. I called Global International back to confront them, they did not answer the phone anymore, I beleive they have caller ID... Here is a copy of the letter I received:
We have secured for you through one of our financial sponsors the required amount: you needed to pay for all tax and charges regarding your recent winning notification, saving you the trouble of trying to raise the necessary amount required.
In reference to the abour ref:BH2004/591/00 Numbers and Batch:0491 numbers, the toatl payout to you is $315,810,000.00 of $5,366,770 divided between seventeen winners. The amount or $315,810,000.00 will be remitted to your designated local account which you will provide to ur office as soon as the Tax and charges paymetns are completed. And a one time payment or remittance will be wired into your accout within 72 hours, the offical time line legally required for settlements
We have enclosed a check amouth of $6700., which is 1.6% surcharge required to be paid, please give your account manager a call as soon as you receive this and he or she will assist you in finalzing the payment process. Your accout manager can be reached at Tel:800.571.8219 x252 or x251
Note:If we do not hear form you within a period of time, we shall assume the enclosed check amounts as lost and will null and void it

THIS IS A RIP OFF!!!!!! I hope this helps someone else out there... But what worries me is that how did they get my Phone # and my Address????
