I got ripped off by an owner of a so call cockatoo from Cameroon. My husband and I sent $200 from our credit card to these people for the bird, then later were told she needed to be insured while being in transit which cost us $450. We sent that amount again thru western Union supposedly to the airport. Now that the bird supposingly be in France, they claim we need to send $1500 extra for a Quantine (passport) for the bird to enter into the United States and change ownership to me.
I so happened to key in Cameroon pet delivery scam and found stories like mine. Some were lucky, they didnt pay a dime. I just got ripped off! We want our money back. I have all of my western union receipts, Emails and promises, phone numbers and etc, What do I do next. I originally saw the ad on craigslist.HELP HELP....This transaction has even caused a major upset in my marriage too also because my husband blamed me for trusting an unknown person.... PLEASE HELP US RECOVER OUR MONEY.... These people have my name, address and phone number.
