NOW TO THE ORIGINAL REPORT THAT WAS FILED

Global Resources,  LLC.  Global Resources disrupted my business for 2 full days Northbrook, Illinois

An employee of Global Resources, LLC. called my business on a busy day and asked for a few moments of my time.  When she showed up the following day, she said she only needed 10 min of my time and it turned out to be over an hour.  She told me the fee would be $850.00 - no written agreement was required to go further.  She asked if their analyst could stop in the following day for an hour.  A gentleman from Bolivia introduced himself with a very firm handshake and before I knew it, I was scrambling for the last 4 years of taxes so he could show me how I could I could improve profits/cash flow etc.  (His paper said only $350.00 for the evaluation).  Still, I was not required to sign any agreement.  

After 2 full days of giving him confidential information on my business, he mentioned their team could fix all my problems.  When I asked how much, he said the fee was $250.00 per hour.   At the end of the 2 day invasion, I was told their team would come in for 3 days at the cost of $10,000 to fix my problems.  Later the fee went down to $7,000.  He used scare tactics - saying if certain things were not addressed, I would cost me more down the road.  I told him firmly that I would never agree to spend even $1,000 with out sleeping on it first.  When he reported back to his boss on his cell, I over heard her say to him "If she does not sign today, SHE IS DONE!"  She was almost yelling at him to make the sale.  He hung up and told me I had to decide today or he was to fly back to Florida.  I did give him a check for $350.00 feeling it was worth the education I got, knowing I could fix these key issues on my own. 





I was exhausted and frustrated that my other responsibilities to my business, employees and home were neglected because of this interruption.  The parting hand shake was not as firm as his greeting handshake.  I actually liked the man and felt sorry that he had a high pressure boss


making him - high pressure struggling business with scare tactics and huge fees. 





I shared so much personal data, I am somewhat nervous about it.  I realized their fees paid for their travel expenses and their pay checks and I can not take a paycheck my self at this time.  It was easy to say "NO". 





I researched key words - complaint/rip off with Global Resources and found I am not alone.   I have managed a growing business for 30 years on my own and had been ripped off two other times.  I checked out their web site, but failed to Google for complaints until the check was written and he was gone.
