My mother was an healthy 51 year old woman, with no history of ANY chronic disease or incapacity. She did not seek treatment for minor colds, and such. She applied for a life insurance policy from GLOBE and was accepted, and payment was taken out almost immediantly. This was 12/11. In a rare and unusual circumstance, she fell ill shortly after. We took her to seek medical treatment, tests were completed and all came back negative. She was Dx with peptic uler, gastritis, and Hpylori infection.

Several days later the Dr. called and advised that the secondary lab that tested the tissue samples found, "abnormal cells, more tests needed to confirm". We did just that, more tests were given and it was concluded that she has a rare form of hereditary linitis plastica. She was given a terminal diagnosis and less than 6 months to live.

We fought a great fight, and she finally concluded that she couldn't bare the pain any longer and went into home hospice. I was her care taker during this time. I am a mother of 3 sons and 29 years old at the time.

This has been incredibly frustrating and painful. But at least mom THOUGHT she would be able to pass along a small gift of $50,000, to my step father, brother and myself. This amount would also take care of her funeral expenses. After moms passing, a few weeks later, I started to embark of the most challenging, sadening journey outside of losing our mother, that I have EVER been on. I sent the requested material to GLOBE LIFE. They lost our packet and CERTIFIED death certificate twice. So, I sent the packet registered mail the last time. Called to check in on the status, as we are still waiting to pay for moms cremation services. Customer service reps gave differing answers, were VERY RUDE AND NONCHALANT. They didn't so much as say, I am sorry for your loss. NOT EVEN ONE TIME. This went on for several months. NO info, no updates. Long hold times, hung up on. Transfered. Etc. Dr.'s had to send and re-send medical forms, labs, etc. They lost them.

Finally today, I called to check the status after a 18 minute hold time. Was told they couldn't deny or confirm a claim over the phone, however a denial letter was sent 3 WEEKS AGO! I have yet to receive any correspondence from GLOBE!

Not to mention, I have no way of knowing WHY OR WHERE they sent this letter. I can't even start the appeals process. This company is SO VERY MUCH NOT WORTH YOUR TRUST! My mother found respite in the fact that she was able to leave a small something to us and to be able to pay her funeral bill.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY! If you do, consider yourself forewarned!

File a bad faith suit !

I would get a lawyer sue them file a bad faith suit , and for damages breach of contract , lawyers, and court fees etc . Just my opinion can't hurt you have nothing now ,I would not recommend this LIGE ins to no one bad ran me around same bs refused to pay the claim .said I never had a paid policy .jerked me around months get denial .got to sue them .They have no claims high priced ins risk ins but refuse to pay claims . The worst of the worst life insurance. My opinion stay away others need not buy their crappy ins so many more better life insurance cos to have . Get rid repeal and exchange and sue them . That's what I would do and doing that on my claim . Mine is a lot less but they going lose more POLICYS from my family .for bad faith . Thanks sorry for your loss I no the feeling.They could care less the loved one I had died .but they sure new how to grab. Only every month .live learn and sue them . Thanks sorry again for your loss !!

hello my mother is going threw this rite now. my sister passed away and they are giving her the same run around. just wanted to know if you ever got ur check or not? just so we know what to look forward to thanks. and sorry about ur loss
