Globus Vanlines ripoff and damaged goods charged for services not received. Blatently stood on appliances and tossed boxes, put furniture in the mud. Hollywood Florida
I have made a grave mistake in hiring Globus Vanlines to move my household. I hired them back in January 07. I followed the proper channels and filed a claim, which they offered less then a quarter of actual damages. I have read a few of the complaints regarding these movers and I am curious as to whether or not anyone has filed a class action lawsuit? I would appreciate any and all advice anyone may have for how to move forward with this company.
the details:
they put the estimate in cubic feet
they charged me an additional $350 to crate a motorcycle I had them move, they also charged me an additional 200 cu ft for the space above the motorcycle, yet uppon delivery the bike was not crated and the heaviest of my furniture was on top of the bike, I got an estimate from the dealership for $2999 to repair the damages done to the motorcycle.
they also destroyed a leather lazy boy, an original painting (which I paid them pack, and another customers bicycle went through the back of the canvas which was not protected), my washer and dryer were damaged to the point that only the dryer is really functional, the washer is caved in and the knobs were broken clear off, all of my boxes were crushed and I have pictures and video of the delivery men throwing boxes and standing on the lazy boy. I also have pictures of all of the damages.
