I purchased a Chevy 2008 Colorado pick up truck 4x4 new. It has approx 88,000 miles on it and has never been in a accident or out four wheeling. I bought a 4x4, because we live on a dirt road about 1/2 mi long. The bed started showing cracks with little triangles missing on the drivers side of the bed closist to the cab. The tabs that hold the front grill on, shered off and the grill fell off. I took the truck to Rancho Motors in Victorville, Ca. to repair the parts while it was still under warrenty. They were very understanding and replaced the "plastic tabs" that held the grill on, but said they would have to contact corporate office regarding the crack. As time passed no contact until I had to do it myself. At the time there was no longer a warranty in place.

Corporate investigated my complaint and said, there was nothing the could or would do. I said, it was a manufactureres defect. This was confirmed by a two collision and auto body repair companies. Both techs inspected the under carrige and bed of the truck and stated that there was no weld penitration and or the welds were to hot. I can see areas near the gate were the tack welds didn't go through. I have photos of the grill and bed of the truck. I now have large cracks on the drivers side, at both tail lights, the gate fell off because the bed sides wobble apart. If I pulled on hte passenger side panel it come ouot approx. 4 inches from the tires. The body looks like it is made out of tin, very thin. I am in the market for a new vehicle  and I will never buy a Chevy or GMC.
