Gofreelance Just Another Rip Off Internet
This is just one big money making scam. To all the honest people out there who just want to make a bit of extra money - keep well away from GoFreelance.
First of all the thousands of advertised jobs which they promise just don't exist. In reality there are a handful of jobs and only a few new ones added each week.....and some of them look like scams. The only time I received an answer from this company's support desk was when I asked if they could guarantee all their advertised jobs were legitamate Of course they assured me they are!
A portfolio is important for any freelancer - your portfolio on gofreelance is useless because none of the files open!! I have sent two queries to the support desk about this, and received no answer.
When I tried to cancel my membership I was given the option of continuing at half price by following the cancel steps and choosing to keep my membership. This doesn't work - you are taken through to a credit card billing company who responded to my queries (very quickly!) and told me I had to contact the support desk at the website to receive the discount.
I am now going to contact the credit card billing company to cancel my membership. I will also contact the supposed support desk at gofreelance to ask for a refund of the money I have wasted - I wonder if I'll get a response this time?! Maybe they're all too busy sending out emails - I get two or three every day telling me about all the money I'm going to make!
