Complaint Review: Greendot - Monrovia California

As a former employee, I can tell you that there are people manning the phones until 10:00PM PST, at least now there are. Good luck getting hold of one, though. Talking to people costs money so 'customer support', which is an oxymoron at Green Dot, does whatever they can to avoid picking up the phone. I think the customer support manager would think she obtained perfect success if she put herself out of work because they replaced all the operators with phone robots. The idea of the phone robots taking care of customers was originally a good one and was deployed in a much smaller scale, but they keep adding 'functionality' to it to the point where you have 100 ways to do everything and it takes forever just to find anything. At our monthly meetings they used to brag that their hold times averaged 90 seconds, but they, of course, do not count the time spend in voice jail. If they did they might find it takes an extra 10 minutes just to find out how to get on hold.

Update update ------ Just found a way to speak to the people at Greendot (or should I say "graburmoneyandrun" . However this time I was notified of the hours of operation and they are M-S 8-6 EST How can that be that a company based in the LA area has a phone bank in the eastern part of the country. Just another way to rip us off. They gave me the hours and then the line went dead and it was only 8 P.M. EST. So go figure. I am pulling my hair out over this. I wanted my cards to work, and I wanted my money in there to be able to use. Now I have tied up 200.00 dollars. I should have trusted my instincts about this. They say; "if it sounds too good to be true it usually is." I have reported them to the LABBB. I just want my money and they can have their cards back.

Update update. My gosh it's only 100.00, but if they do this to everyone or even a third of the people that put money into the system then they must be raking in the big bucks. I was thinking that they don't advertise the operating hours. Maybe they don't work on weekends. I put my money in after 5pm PST on Friday. I wonder if I have to wait until Monday to get my money. I, thank God, just got paid and had an extra 100.00 so I used e-passport. I had to get my card unblocked from my MFing bank first. The bill against internet gambling sure did mess everything up. It's amazing what our Senators can do to us.
