First visit to Dr. Rosenthaler to evaluate my front upper partial. He convinced me to pull one tooth, recap 3 teeth and make me a new partial. He told me I needed a root canal and convinced me to have another Dr. come to his office to perform root canal. I didn't know this doctor. This root canal was unsuccessful and both doctors argued each with other in disagreement, because they were unable to reach the nerve. I was left in great pain. They cut the tooth in half, destroyed the molar and left me without any support for the partial he convinced me to purchase for $4000.00. I had paid for that partial and now it would never fit me.

The new partial now arrived but it did not fit correctly and I returned after several weeks to complain about the pain in my mouth. Dr. Rosenthaler removed and packaged the ill-fitting partial and told me to deliver it to the post office on my way home. Taking my dental appliance to the post office was not my responsibiliy.

Jan-Oct (months later)

The partial was returned a second time from the lab and inserted into my mouth. I found that I was in great pain which affected sleeping and normal mouth movements. It was scraping and irritating my lip and causing pain and burning when I chewed. I continued to plead with Dr. Rosenthaler for help but he insisted that it was fine. The pain got worse and now my lower right tooth broke from pressing created by the partial's incorrect fit.

After numerous visits to Dr. Rosenthaler about this pain, he told me to get another opinion. I went to my daughter's dentist Dr. Arnold Rosenberg, for a second opinion in August. Dr. Rosenberg concurred with me on all of my concerns and he sent Dr. Rosenthaler a letter with his recommendations. I did not hear from Dr. Rosenthaler for several weeks, so I called him. Dr. Rosenthaler ignored the second opinion and chose to try to make more unsuccessful adjustments on the partial, but these never corrected the pain.

I filed a complaint with the PA State Dental Board and waited months to hear any response from them. They interviewed Dr. Rosenthaler but I was never permitted to rebut what he told them. He lied to them and I was given no chance to respond. They sent me a letter that the case was closed since they believed all that Dr. Rosenthaler told them. I am out $4000.00 and I'm still in pain. He destroyed several teeth that cannot be replaced and I have permanent damage to my mouth that I cannot affort to repair. I want money refunded by Dr. Rosenthaler so I can begin to repair the damages done by him.
