Contacted Hans Prager with specific interest in purchasing a Czech line German Shepherd. I have decades of experience with these dogs and simply looking for a solid breeder with solid pups.
This man has a mixed reputation after a review of the Internet, where some have had great luck, some not. Regardless, I reached out by phone:
- He was immediately rude upon answering the phone.
- Cursed at me several times during the conversation.
- Then hung up on me as I attempted to explain, as a potential client, what I was looking for.
This individual has communication issues, which to be an excellent and reputable breeder, is essential. As an experienced owner of a multitude of German shepherds, I cannot recommend this individual to anyone. He needs to learn how to communicate professionally or get out of the business.

Nice try Mr. Prayer. My name is James Wilson, I live in Reno. For anyone who asks, I have the transcript of the email exchange as well as my phone logs. And I have 45 years experience with breeding and raising German shepherds- American, DDR, and Czech lines. I am a private owner. You are not only unprofessional, but now caught deceiving the public. Let the prospective buyer beware. This man is unprofessional and dishonest.

Anybody can say anything without proof anonymously . This is an anonymous report and I am not aware of such situation. This is most likely posted in my estimate by a comptition as a hoax. I talk from tens to hundreds of people during each weak and I do not recall such converstaion.
Why would I "immediatelly" be rude up on answering a phone or "cuss" someone who wants to buy a dog from me and then abruptly "hang up"? It just does not make sense.
I am altruistically helping to thousands of people with their dogs as is obvious , besides other ways , from my forum on my AlpineK9 website.
There you can also see myriads of referrals from happy customers and that is only a fracture of such satisfied customers.
I do not know who this person is and also I do not think that I have ever sold to this person a dog or pup thus there is no "rip off" of any kind. Anybody can say anything they want here but unless this person identifies itself by full name and then and explaied how I "ripped him off" or present recording of such alleged conversation I will treat this as a hoax. while the poster is annonymous I on the other hand am open book.
