I went to Harrar's casino in valley center with my girl Danielle williams, I dumped her at the casino, because she started begging for more money. She then ran up to the room. She locked me out with the dead bolt and latch. As such security was called. Great dudes all 3 of them and the maintance guy who took 10 minutes to unlock the door because Danielle refused to open the door or acknowledge security banging on the door and calling the hotel room phone. These guys at my request helped me pack checked the room and saw it was in perfect condition. Here's the nightmare I go down to the front desk valet and ask for car. I am denied the car because my girlfriend has the ticket. After an hour of arguing g I finally get my car. Now because all property is in the car I go to the front desk and ask for my cash deposit I am denied my deposit, because my ex has no money or credit cards to put the deposit in her name ( they gave her a comp room and I put the deposit down ) So I tell them not to release the cash to her and don't let her extend the stay with my deposit . I further requested security do a room check and have her arrested for any damage. All notes were put into the computer system. Well comes noon time she calls to say she is getting free rooms and running a tab on my deposit. I call the hotel and object. Holly , along with the hotel manager tell me to calm down and relax and I had no right leaving my ex stranded at the hotel. Note my ex lives at 577 Beverly Place San Marcos, with is a half hour away. As such they give her 3 more nights of comp rooms and use my money without my permission for a security deposit and tell me I have no rights or say in the matter and I am still legally liable for everything. I attempted to call Los Vagas about this, but they refused to help. This is the worst Casino. Fortunately my state has a law that if a security deposit is not returned the owner has to give back 3 times the amount. I am so looking forward to small claims court and a all expense paid trip back to hash this out in small claims court. I refuse to except any comps from them and just want my deposit back. I will never visit the sister casinos they von also . I will lol in the end. I do understand these girls at the front desk are idiots on a power trip. I think it's funny they think I will let this drop.

Regardless of California law, I am allowed to file in Connecticut, as a resident of said state. The casino will have to file a response to the suit and hire someone to represent them or simply return my money. The hotel manager and Holly are two duche bags . They are as valuable as a used condom with a whole in it. I so look forward to this. I will probably bust balls and file a defamation of character law suit also and really make the casino pay for lawyers. I don't like being pushed or stepped on. I actually love the civil process and the court system and prejudgement liens.

First of all any "law" your state has about security deposits does not apply in CA.  CA has no such law about deposits does not apply to "hotels" that is not considered a "Residence Hotel" where you have been living there for more than 28 days.  Now, of course if you have a SPECIFIC CALIFORNIA law that states differently please feel free to post it.

Second, the room was in your ex's name.  It doesn't matter how she got the deposit, so as far as the hotel is concerned it is her money.  Also, regardless of what you "told them" if she used the deposit against purchases that is money they no longer need to return.

Now, you are right about one thing...small claims court.  But not against the hotel....against your ex. If you can show it was your money that was used as the deposit, and you never got the money back the courts MAY rule in your favor.  You may also get reasonable costs if you prevail.  However, if that would be an entire all expenses paid trip to go to court..you may be in for a rude, and expensive, awakening.
