Haynes - Dishonest and fraudulent ripoff Virginia Beach Virginia
To all those who have or will be writing on behalf of bad experiences:
I have also had a bad experience and will NEVER shop Haynes again.
Hayne's is so quick to adverstise their "NO PAYMENT - NO INTEREST FOR ONE FULL YEAR". When I went with my husband, we were told that we didn't qualify for that but did qualify for 6 months with no payment - no interest. That was okay for us. I received my furniture without a problem.
I received a bill about 3 weeks later for my first payment. I called the location and spoke to someone about it and she said to disregard the notice. It's just-in-case I wanted to pay it in advance. I did exactly that. UNTIL....one month later when I received a COLLECTION NOTICE. I, once again made a call to customer service. They notified me that there was no such thing as 6 months, no payment-no interest and that the balance was past due. My next move was to call the salesperson directly. He denied ever telling my husband and I we qualified for the 6 months as it didn't exist.
I can't share enough how mad my husband and I were. That account was paid in full as promised within the time frame alloted. However, 3 years later the account balance still shows up on my credit report as not being paid.
I am battling with that situation to this day and tell everyone who is shopping for furniture to stear clear of Haynes.
I'm not unhappy with the quality of Haynes furniture, but I am extremely unhappy with their service. I felt I was lied to and betrayed. Not to mention the harrassing phone calls I received from collections for several months, even when the payments were being made.
ONE MORE THING: Instead of advertising when they ARE having a sale (which is everyday of every year) Why don't they advertise when they AREN'T having a Sale. This way, we won't see and hear their FRAUDULANCY on every TV and radio commercial.

I am so sick of hearing about Haynes biggest sale of the year every day. I'm about to start taping all the adds over the course of a year a sue them for false advertising. Their credit people are horrible. I went there because they were having a mattress sale and the same no payment and no finance for a year. I was also told I didn't qualify for that. After checking my credit 3 times without my knowledge they told me that they could only approve me for $500. They said they checked with 3 companies and this was the best they could do. When they told me they checked with 3 companies I asked them if they ran my credit 3 times and they said yes. So of course this looked really bad on me having me credit checked 3 times in 1 day. I don't think there prices are all that great for thier furniture either.
