Healthydiscountcard.com ripoff, false advertising, switch and bait, scam Phillipines Internet
ripoff: Offers music download at $1/month, then switches to charging $59.99/mo, then $99.99 every 2 weeks for health services.
In May, 2006, called the 800# that is on the credit bill. Company identified self as Healthydiscountcard. Said they would reverse the charges.
Called same number today and now it is "Eagle Specialty Remodeling' that owns the 800#
Went to Healthydiscountcard.com website and now site says they have closed. and they thank their many customers for their long support of their wonderful informational website. All memberships have been cancelled and no customers will be billed in the future."
Ok, now that they are non-existent, how do I get the credit card company to honor my refusal to pay? I have just sent a copy of the website information, a letter refusing to pay the costs, directed the bank to the website and phone number, and a copy of the RipOff report. Any other ideas?
I am furious that this happens and these so-called companies are NOT in the USA. What legal recourse do we have?
