Hewlett-Packard, HP disrespect, ripoff, waste of money, no quality, horrible support and service Palo Alto California
I purchased a TX1009AU laptop in April 2007 and it was problematic ever since the beginning. About two months after purchase, my OS became corrupted and I could not boot and I also could not detect an CD. I phoned HP and they guided me through.
Then in January 2008, my wireless adapter failed to work and I was unable to detect any wireless signals. Then a few months later I had a booting problem. After I shut it down one night, I could not turn it on the next morning. When I power it up, only the LED lights illuminate, no display on the screen.
I have called HP many times about the issue and they refuse to give me any type of real support because my laptop is now out of warranty, but it was not out of warranty when i reported the problem. When i first called them for my broken wifi adapter the lady I spoke with never offered me the option of me sending in the laptop for repair as it would of been covered under the warranty.
Now when I phoned into HP this week, the agent threathened to hang up because the complaint was considered credible by her and he wanted to hang up. Also, all of my call records since before my laptop was out of warranty is no longer showing up in the system. Funny eh?
I have sent many emails to the CEO and I have gotten the same responses, that I should pay for it.
The laptop contains an NVIDIA 6150 and NVIDIA released a statement saying that they know of defective laptop gpus but it is up to the maufacturer to fix it. Makes sense since i bought it from HP, not NVIDIA.
