Complaint Review: High Energy Concepts - West Palm Beach Florida

Alright sorry for anyone who is actually interested in a job like this but trust me you can do better and find better than this.  This is a commision based paid job, you're better off selling cars or something more serious.

I had an unsual experience with this High Energy Concept company, in my opinion it is a strange company that's disorganized, doesn't really provide a career, and a complete waste of time.  I found this ad online stating no experience neccessary we will train you.  I was desperate so i contacted them, I talked to the girl on the phone and she gave me the address but the zip code was incorrect, she did not tell me if i needed to bring anything, i had to actually call back the next day and ask her what should i bring for the interview, she said just bring a resume.  I went for an interview i saw a couple of people there, there was an unsual tall white guy there at the interview who started talking and looking at all of us.  I believe he was acting like he was going for an interview.  He sat for a couple of minutes and walked out saying out loud "I have better things to do than this i gotta go".  So he didn't really have an interview and just left.  The other thing that was strange, when Ren interviewed me, he asked me what position i'm applying for, and no where in the application did it state what posiions were available.  I told him i don't know what positions there were.  He said there's a position for sales and another one for call centre.  Now he only explained about the sales position he didn't give any information about the call centre position which i believe was a lie.  After he heard that i haven't been working for a long time he didn't hesitate to tell me to come the next day at 9:00am for training for the sales position, remind you he didn't even tell me which position i was going to get training for, i was desperate at the time and didn't really care to ask.  So i come in the morning, i saw a couple of people there too it was also the day for them to get training, i hear music next to the waiting room.  I heard a lot of chanting, and talking about I am who i say i am, Monday is a great day, Tuesday is a great day, Wednesday is a great day, Thursday is a great day, Friday is the only best day.  It felt like my high school days when i used to play football, repetition and mentra, it felt weird to hear that at a job training day.  So i waited for a good fourty minutes before my trainer actually came to me.  I won't disclose his name but let's call him Mitch.  Mitch didn't seem pleased with the way i was dressed for my training day, he wanted me to be business looking he even called Ren to ask him why i'm not dressed properly which Ren didn't even acknowledge his concern.  

Thank God i didn't have a car because appearantly if you have a car you have to drive to the event location with your own gas money, Ren never talked about that nor did he talk about paying you gas money to get to the event location and come back to the office when the event is finished.  They have no company vehicles that takes their employees to the events, not that i noticed.  So i'm in the car with Mitch and some other guy.  Mitch started smoking weed in the car, yes (marijuana), so what serious job do you go to where your trainer is smoking in the car and talking.  So Ren you train your guys with this occult like mentra about high energy and being amped to sell things but you don't train them about not taking drugs while at work? Thank God i didn't disclose true information about my personal life because i didn't take my trainer seriously.  When we reached the event location Mitch tried to tell me some basics about the company but he seemed more focus on selling the FW1 Wax, and didn't really know much about the company himself, he didn't want the other guy nor me to try to sell anything for many hours.  Appearantly the way this commision job works is, every bottle of wax product you sell you're suppose to keep the money and bring it back to the office at the end of the day and say how much you sold, so you can be paid.  Mitch never told me anything like that, for every bottle i sold i gave him the money.  From 9:00am i arrive there got to the event location about 10:11am and we left the event location at 7:40pm, we got to the office i left the office about 8:40pm almost 9:00pm.  Before i left the office i saw one of the employees there standing, i told him aren't you tired, you should take a seat.  He said, "No i have a lot of Energy", which was one of the funiest things i ever heard.  That night i did some research about the company, their website was very nondescript, not enough details.  I didn't let that bother me so i went for round three at 7:50am this time.  I heard Ren speaking loud in his office, using profaine words about how the guys don't know how to train people.  What manager talks like that to other employees, i believe most of the people that work there either have a criminal record or can't do other jobs to take that type of treatment.   After that i just decided to not even try anymore.  Remind you he never talked about paying me for receiving training, they only told me if i am hired i'd be paid.

This was a big waste of my time, this type of job is not serious and if you want something serious i wouldn't advise you to go for a job like that.  You would either have to have some serious criminal background or problems with the law to go for a job like this.  If you're living in west palm beach florida there are so many other jobs you can go for, like security, working for tri-rail, place an ad on kijiji, look for jobs on indeed.com.  If you're a parent, or someone concerened for a person going for an interview for this company or thinking about working for them, you're better off not even trying.  But if you have a criminal record and this is the only type of job you can do, best regards to you.  If you want business experience or managing experience, you can get that by being a party promoter, and so many other things, even people who have younger siblings are already used to leadership roles, so don't let this job fool you with the idea they provide leadership and business experience.  If the product is good it sales for itself, you can't fool someone into being feces.  

In conclusion, this job is too time consuming, unprofessional, doesn't give enough information, and an utter waste of time.  And again if you're a parent, a friend, a person who is about to get into this job, please look them up High energy concepts and look for yourself.  This is not a professional job.
