Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My friend recently lost his father, I suggested he contact Joe Hogan to auction off his father's estate.  Joe Hogan had no problem coming to the house and choosing the items he wanted in his auction, while he was at the house, he promised the hier to the estate that he would send a check within a week.  My friends actually went to the auction to see how much their items would sell for, during the auction on several items, Joe conveniently forgot that certain items belonged to my friends estate, and was logging them as "999" or as, Joe's property.  (As if Joe himself were selling his own stuff), anyway, it's been 6 weeks and my friend still has no check for his fathers estate.  Also, a story not many know about Joe Hogan, I worked for Joe many many years ago, we received a large estate from a family whose grandfather passed away, during this man's lifetime, he had saved and stored over $20,000.00 in a very large vase, (that was part of the estate), well, the $20,000.00 was still in the vase !  The family was unaware of this money, I, myself, along with another woman, found the money in the vase at the same time, Joe removed the money, said he would contact the family, since legally, it does belong to the family, and this grandfather was saving for many years to pass this money down to his family, Joe NEVER called the family, he kept the money.  For months, we, his workers asked him about the money and whether or not he returned it, and we never got a response from him, we were always told, "don't worry about how I run my business", so, essentially, Joe stole $20,000.00 from a family.  Another occassion, we received an estate of about 20 large totes full of costume jewelry, by the time we were finished selling the jewerly, we had made over $60,000.00, when the person came to pick up his check, Joe gave him a check for $4,200.00.  He told the man this was  all he made, Joe is a thief, I will never ever suggest anyone go to, call, or deal with Joe hogan on any level.  He is a disgusting theif and liar, he is very good at what he does, and that is, lying, he is very good a deceiving people and taking advantage of people when they are at they're lowest.

Really dude????.. You "worked" for Joe years ago and after all that story about what he "was doing" and how he "kept money and shortchanged customers".... and THEN you go and advise your friend who lost his father to go see Joe and hand off the family estate??.... either you were correct in your original statements (I doubt it), OR you were involved in similar "reallocations" yourself under the radar, OR you you were really pissed off at your "friend" and thought you would send him for a fleecing..(also doubt it)... OR you just have an axe to grind and decided social media was the way to go...

That's the choice that sounds the most reasonable... bud, your story smells to high heaven...

I have bought at Joe's and his family's auctions since the 80's, and although I haven't been there in over a year, I have dropped many a doller over the years, and would recommend it to anyone who needed to dispose of anything... It's an auction - sometimes the buyers show, and sometimes they don't.. You roll the dice.. It is YOUR choice after all... and who knows what the actual wording is on each contract....

So, I guess this just smelled too much like a cow barn for me to not comment on the crap that I truly think is here...

Joe, if you read this - it's Mike, 319...

have a good day folks!!
