Richard Ferguson aka "William Ricker Ferguson" aka "Doc Hollywood" is NOT a real Doctor. He has no medical licenses or proper medical training to do the things he says he can do. He is being investigating by the Salt Lake District Attorney's office & the Department of Professional Licensing.
Richard Ferguson was arrested Oct 15th 2010 on 18 felony counts including impersonating a doctor and forging prescriptions. Richard Ferguson is a very dangerous man!!!
Please if you value your safety there are plenty of qualified plastic surgeons in Utah you can go to that will do a much better job.
I don't know how Richard Ferguson's clinic is still open for business, but I assure you he doesn't know what he is doing and he will rob you as of as much money as you'll hand over to him. I am a victim of his malpractice and now real doctors are trying to fix his mess.
Below is a news article of Richard Ferguson's arrest reported by ABC4.com:
SANDY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - The owner of the Hollywood Body Laser Center in Sandy was arrested Thursday for playing doctor without a license.
William Ricker Ferguson, also known as Richard Ferguson, Doc Hollywood and Doc Ferguson was charged with 18 felony counts. Those charges include forging prescriptions, practicing medicine without a license and giving out controlled substances without a license. There are also felony charges of aggravated assault for two botched treatments.
The charges were filed by Salt Lake County District Attorney Lohra Miller. After the doctor quit that worked in his office, he (Ferguson) continued with the treatments and posed as a doctor, Miller said.
In one especially bad case, court documents say Ferguson personally administered a laser treatment that left a woman with 3rd degree burns all over her face. That woman now suffers from heavy hyper-pigmentation and a herpes virus as a direct result of the laser treatment.
Miller said, This is a very serious case, and it caused some pretty serious injuries.
Idid get burned during the treatments, said Brittany Bezzant, a former client of Ferguson. She said the burns were not severe, but after a couple years of treatments and little to show for them, she filed a complaint with the Utah Better Business Bureau. They kinda just guessed at what settings to put the laser at because each time it was different. Sometimes it would be really painful and other times I wouldnt feel anything.
Besides practicing medicine without a license, investigators allege Ferguson gave out prescription medications. The defendant administered the controlled substances to patients and co-workers, according to the statement of probable cause filed with the court.
As part of the investigation, the Department of Occupational and Professional Licensing conducted a sting. An officer, posing as a patient, requested and got from Ferguson drugs for an imaginary girlfriend. All this was done without examination or meeting with a practitioner.
And if Ferguson didnt have the drugs on hand? No problem, say investigators. He would just forge a new prescription. The defendant also wrote prescriptions using Dr. (Stephen) Grahams signature.
At one time, Dr. Graham was the medical director at Hollywood Body apparently the only real doctor in the office.
