I have an appointment for an estimate for my entire home tomorrow. New construction and thought I might give them a try. However, after reading countless negative reviews about HD and Thomasville Cabinets I would never even consider buying this rubbish. I will still keep the appointment for the estimate just to check pricing against other options. I may as well waist a couple of hours of their time, obviously they need something to do besides wander around the store and and figure new ways to be unhelpfull. Good luck. Also I agree you should take them to court.

I am the proud owner of a complete Thomasville kitchen that was made by Thomasville by Thomasville employees and purchased from Home Depot. The craftsmanship was excellent as was the service after the sale. We had some knots in the cabinet doors that fell out and were immediately replaced by Thomasville at their expense, no questions asked. I don't know about this "line" of Thomasville made by American Woodmark, maybe a lower line quality. This did not sway my decision one bit and I have been knowing about those cabinets made by American Woodmark, no big secret and definitely not "fraud". My opinion regarding the poor service by Home Depot is an isolated incident and for sure not the normal practice.

Kitchen Remodels are a major construction process. More often than not, does everything go completely as planned. I would like to start off by saying that as a kitchen designer for Home Depot, I am certain that your concerns will be satisfied in the end. You probably decided to purchase through Home Depot because of brand recognition and the security in knowing that they stand behind their products and services. There are certain processes and people that must be involved when such issues arise. Home Depot warranties the labor for one year and Thomasville offers a limited lifetime warranty. It sounds to me like several parties are at fault in this case. Thomasville representatives have to access the problem in order to find a solution. Home Depot can not make that call for them however, as our partner, they will do everything in their power satisfy the customer. I do want to let you know that Thomasville Cabinetry is not made by American Woodmark. And in my personal opinion, Kraftmaid and Thomasville is our top of the line. Thomasville's finishes and door styles are superior in the Home Depot showroom. Keep in contact with the store and let them know what your expectations are. If you dont want the cabinets, you have to be upfront about that because you will not be happy with whatever resolution they come up with. Unfortunately, inconvience is the name of the game with kitchen remodels and every bump in the road makes everything else take even longer. Home Depot will make it right and your patience will be required.

I would notify them that if the problem cabinets and ahrdware are not replaced by a ceertain time , you will sue them on TV on the peoples court or one of the other ones. Then take pictures of all the crapy stuff and follow thru. I don't think they would want to ahve it made public on TV so they might get off their asses and do something.
