 Hello,

I responded to a CL job offer to be a home inspector for big money, and of course I was selected.

They wanted me to pay to be in the job and pay more for the "set up" (pun intended).

It seems they use the same web page for each state they cheat people in, Home inspector of Missouri,  Home inspectors of Colorado, Home inspectors of California, Home inspector of....... your state....

It also seems they a BBB rating, I suspect that the BBB must only defend customers not victums wanting to be employees.

Real job interviews don't talk pleasure or flattery, offer pay that is too good to be true, or ask you to pay to get the job - scammers do!!!!!

After I realized this guy was a scammer, I desided to burn him even if just a little.  I dragging this scum bag along for a couple hours of chit chat while I worked, I let him babble on and on.....  I made sure to promise faitfully to pay every month, no problem!!  I figured that while I was keeping this scammer on the line, he was not calling some unaware victum, and cheating them out of money they can't afford.  In my own small way, I felt like I was making things just a little bit safer even if only just for a short time.  I wish everyone could do the same, its a nice feeling to sting a cheater/thief/con, even just a little, they consider time is money.

Then he called me back six times, he really wanted the money I promised him hahaha.  I was fun laughing as I ignored his calls, and giving him a taste of his own.....   Because I'm sure that's all you get after you pay is your call goes to voice mail and there is not job.  Real job interviews don't keep calling if you ignore them, scammers do.

WARNING - NEVER PAY  TO GETTING A JOB

Real jobs don't require up front payment!!!!

My best to all,

Hi,

Maybe my grammar and typing are not up to you’re high, standards.  And even though this is a second language for me, I'm satisfied that I expressed the point adequately.

As far as validation, you make a fair point and to your surprise, I did check with at least five working real estate brokers and a couple licensed appraisers who all reported never hearing of such a company and advising against sending money to internet companies like that.  They also sighted the banking requirements of "state licensed appraisers".

Either way I will not be drawn in to an argument.

My response is, "Go ahead and pay them; Please, let us all know how that works out for you".

In response to the commentary regarding Home Inspectors of America. I've been digging into researching about this company and have yet to find any "proof" of corruption or scamming. You have merely slandered this company without any examples of wrong doing. Suspision is not proof. What is your basis for accusing the company of being a scammer? Please show your research, I would truly like to read it.

Misleading someone is scamming. This is something you have done by promising to partake in a business venture by stringing the 'interviewer' along. Thus making you the scammer and pushing your agenda forward.

From what I've read, HIA requires a one time payment of $99. This is for the online inspectors certification courses and to be attached to their insurance and bonding as well as getting the 'client' some OJT. The additional $55 / month carries the 'client' on their website as well as insurance and some other benefits as well.

I don't think it's a scam to ask for a payment for a service. You come off as someone on a witch hunt. One could also take your commentary more seriously if your grammer was higher than that of a 12 year old. Good luck bashing in the future. Do some research. Stay positive.
