To make a very long story short, we have been with Homeq for 3 years now, and have not enjoyed one year of piece of mind with these people.
I admit that I did get behind on my loan, the problem I have is that this company sits on and takes payments from you, telling you that by paying them the money they are extorting from you for legal fees (to which they cannot seem to be able to come up with a physical bill for me to see that I will be avoiding a forclosure.
2 years ago this happened, and after paying up and having the mortgage brought current, 2 weeks later my home appeared in the paper for forclosure sale.
We have stayed current with our loan for over a year now, yet we still get forclosure notices, and are constantly being told that we have to pay up legal fees for the first time they started a forclosure proceeding.
After sending them $1,180 dollars on april 14th at noon for these fees, a man appeared in front of our home snapping pictures of our house.
Could someone please tell me how these crooked bastards can accept payments while going through a forclosure process. There are alot of postings on this site for this company.
We all need to find a lawyer for a class action lawsuit against these pricks, and I challenge any lawyer with the balls and the talent to do it, because people like this never learn thier lesson until it hits them in thier prescoius little pocketbooks. F**K HOMEQ.

I will get right to the point here. I had started out with the Money Store, thus wound up with this Home EQ crap. I to had filed a chapter 7, well my mortage was not part of it, but wound up with a $600.00 fee tacked on to my mortage paymnet, Did I mention this occured 4 yrs later. When I called this company (OH and try to get someone on the phone who can answer a question) After several calls I was told these were lawyer fees due to my filing a chapter 7.... What the heck is this?????????? They make up their own rules,In 6yrs I had one late payment, Now from the first of the month on these people call my job and harrass me, Call my home and its call after call after call, Its like a nightmare, Their answer is that they are trying to collect a dept, Stating that my payment has to go in before the due date( what the hell is a due date on the bill if they dont honer it? I have had it with this company and plan on refinancing with a bank asap> Good luck, I am not stopping here! Dont trust these people, they cant even get an address correction right!
