Hoosier Healthwise FSSA ripoff horrible incompetent lazy way to screw up my credit jerks Indianapolis Indiana
At the time of my 2nd pregnancy, I was considered low income. The ONLY state service I used was medicare, known as hoosier healthwise. I had been on it from my first son. To get pregnancy full coverage I went to the doctor who provided a "proof of pregnancy" form. My "caseworker" I use the term LOOSELY...forgot to file that piece of paper.
7 to 8 months into my pregnancy I begin to receive bills, totally over 1,000.00. All pregnancy related. Regardless, I had full coverage. When I call...they have me listed under wrong insurance...my caseworker...who got her Customer service training from the devil himself, was no help. So I filed an appeal. In that time, my caseworker was fired. :)
At the appeal they immediatley identified the problem and it was supposed to be fixed. For a year I dealt with calling providers, 3 caseworkers, collection agency, No one cared I had a piece of paper that said this is to be paid. One of my many caseworkers said it was a computer problem and once that was fixed she would have it taken care of.
3 years later, now that I am ready to get a home loan and no longer considered "low income" all those charges are on my credit report. When I call to get this reconciled, it is now my responsibility to get the provider to rebill all charges..which might deny for timely filing. 4 of the charges the collection agency has deleted, the provider can't find in the system but there it sits on my credit report. The lady I am dealing with asks me, why weren't they advised to rebill at the time of the appeal before it went to your credit?? I didn't know they were supposed to AIRHEAD!! If I did, do you think I would let it go to my credit report? Because 3 years ago,I knew if I would have gotten it paid I would never have been able to deal with you. Right.
I have dealt with a lot of shady and horrible people in this situation and could go on for days, but the problem began with Hoosier Healthwise. In the 7 years I dealt with them I had at least 6 caseworkers, that I can remember.
