This wa a classic cas of bait & switch fraud. Houston Motors listed one car on ebay and shipped me another. The listing showed the vin # of a car from Va. but I was shipped a car from La., a victim of Katina. The listing stated immuclate condition. It wasn't. It will pass any state inspection. It didn't. It failed emissions and the check engine light would not come on. Seems someone had clipped the wires and removed not only the bulb but the socket as well. When I contacted Nick about these problems he told me that he would take care of it. He instructed me to take it into a local Hyundai dealer and he would pay for the repair. When the local Hyundai dealer called Nick he refused payment. I went ahead and authorized the repair so that I could get the car through emissions. Nick told me he would send $200 by check towards the repair. He has not. I then took the car to the DMV to get it regestered. Again it failed the Level 1 inspection There was no vin plate under the windshield. I then had to go through a level 3 inspection to verify the vin # was the same as the one on the title. The level 3 inspector suggested I check the vin # aganst the ebay listing because he showed no record of the car ever being registered in Va.. I did and bingo, they didn't match. Houston motors had sold me one car and delivered another. When I asked Nick about this he told me it was simply human error. He claimes he had two xg300's titles on his desk and just copied the wrong vin #. If you believe that I have a great bridge to sell you. I hav tried to work this out between Nick and my self but to no avail. He claims I am trying bully him because I told him I was going to file with ebay, and the DA in his county if we could not work this out between us. He did offer to buy the car back for $5036 but I would have to deliver it to Houston, Tx. I refused this offer since I now have over $6000 invested in this bait& switch scam. I have now filed with ebay's insurance co. to try and get money back. There are many more stories to this saga but the lesson to be learned is do not buy from Houston Motors and Nick Noor. Nick wouldn't know the truth if it bit him.
