I recently noticed activity on my checking account that I am sure did not occur. I contacted my bank and stopped all action on my debit/credit card. All the debits from my account occured between July 12 and July 16th, 2004. I think I know what happened. While attending a concert in Tampa, I purchased a souvenier at a table set up outside the concert hall. They took debit/credit cards for payment. Once my debit card was taken from me to process the transaction, someone behing the table, out of my sight, copied down my account number. The debits were in small amounts, four of them being $39.75 and one in the amount of $23.59, over the 4 day period of time so it went unnoticed by me until I looked at my bank statement.

DO NOT give you card into to anyone who may be suspicious of being a "fly by night" outfit, namely, Identity Watchdog, Inc.

It is now in the hands of the check fraud department and I was told it would be investigated and the violator will be prosecuted if they are caught. I have no idea how the name "Identity Watchdog, Inc." got tied into a concert T-shirt purchase, but that is the name that came up on my bank statement.
