Complaint Review: Images Flooring - Denver CO

Company responsible: Dream Finders (home builders), Images, utilized by Dream Finders to provide and install flooring I’ll write the scenario in steps so as to be easily understood.

2. I purchased the new, townhouse at a new development, Silver Meadows, located in Longmont on April 28, 2016. 3. Because all items were under warranty for 1 year, I hired an inspector and he wrote a report before the warranty expired. Dream Finders was handed this report before the deadline. It was approximately 50 pages. Dream Finders response? These are subjective although they did fix a few minor of the items. At least 9 months ago they stopped.

4. One of 2 major problems: The hardwood product installed was not installed properly.When I asked why the floor creaked when walking thru the house, I was told “that’s how new houses are. When the furniture comes, that will solve the problem.” I waited, and the problem never stopped. In some places, there are greater than one quarter inch gaps between the wood floor boards. You can see the subfloor. In order to clean the floor properly, I need to use toothpicks! If you walk on the floor barefoot, it is uncomfortable and painful. Aside from aesthetics, I fear insect infestation because I do not clean the gaps of the wood every week with toothpicks, which I think is proof in itself that the flooring was not laid properly.

5. Images, the company who is responsible for install, came after 1 month to inspect. The inspector said, yes, this is not right.

6. Images sent a higher level employee to inspect, he made no comment.

7. Images arranged for a representative from the flooring company to inspect, he took notes and pictures, and told me he would complete his report in 2 weeks. Images refused to send me his report after asking them numerous times. The customer service, response, a curt “No, they’re ours.”

8. Images hired what they referred to as an ‘independent’ inspector to look at the floor. I requested this report, they refused. They told me to contact Dream Finders, who replied they never received them. Images continues to refuse. 9. It has now been 16 months since the first inspector took a look.

10. In 2017 Dream Finders said Images may replace the hardwood on the 2nd floor, than wait and see if the problem is dryness. I have heard nothing. I have written emails and left phone messages, no response.

11. I wrote the BBB in January 2018. Within one week Images said the flooring company, Metropolitan,will provide the

flooring free of charge. They would install. I chose the flooring. Now they will not answer my

phone calls. Images told me thru Dream Finders it was on 'back order.' I have written them emails, called, left

messages with no response. I filed again with the BBB, and they told me the situation was resolved. NO it was not. Images proudly

touts BBB approval on their website. What can I do after a company has their money, did not stand by their warranty, and now ignores me? Images is the responsible party. Dream Finders doesn't care. I am attaching pictures,

Images to install flooring and tile in your homes. If you care at all about your homeowners satisfaction, you will not hire this company.The craftsmanship is terrible and the customer service after closing is absolutely horrific... ...

What really led me to writing this review is the HORRIBLE customer service. ...What made this experience even more terrible was the rudeness of the office manager that I spoke to. I would expect someone to nicely and politely say they are not willing not help me, give some understanding to my frustration, and maybe even point me in the direction where I can find someone to do the work I am needing. Instead she kept telling me that Images "will not touch it".

Absolutely ridiculous. I've never had such a horrible customer service experience with a flooring/tile install company in my life. Builders should not work with this company if you want your homeowners to be taken care of and treated with kindness after the closing of their home. Do not use this company. They installed a large amount of hard wood flooring in my home and did not allow the wood to dry. They had months of advance knowledge of the schedule and could have warehoused the wood to prevent issues which I will now have to live with indefinitely. The finishing and staining job was poor, I have different tones in different areas. They also put in a staiway and they are not aware that return threads extend past the riser. They transfered stain from the floor to the white baseboards and refused to correct it. The list goes on. Poor craftsmanship on tile as well - bad cuts, missallignment, poor grouting, etc. Stay away
