My brother and I recently purchased a beautiful Jack Russell Terrier at the Brea Mall location. The puppy was playful, energetic and surprisingly calm for a JR Terrier. I asked to hold it and ended up purchasing this dog for the $1049 price tag. All financing paperwork was completed and we were able to bring the pup to his new home. This JRT was all white with one black spot on his tail end. He seemed normal, we brought him home and he played with our other JRT which is a female.

The puppy seemed stubborn by not listening to us, but we assumed he just had to be trained. One day, we left him in his crate and he fell asleep. My brother whistled and he remained asleep. My niece suggested he was deaf, so I took him to the vet that they contracted with for that one free visit and he confirmed that the dog was indeed deaf.

After researching deaf dogs on the internet, we discovered that most white dogs are usually deaf. They are labeled to breeders as "lethal whites." In other words, these dogs are supposed to be euthanized.

We contacted the store and they gave us the option of returning the dog and get a new one, or they will refund $500. I was not going to risk returning the dog to possibly be euthanized because he was deaf. I settled for the refund and am currently waiting for my refund to send directly to the financial institute to pay my debt.

After reading other reports on this site about this company, I decided to report my experience with this company. They like to play with the emotions of pet owners who they know would pay anything not to have an animal euthanized, even if it plays with the owners feelings.

I suggest that when you go to this pet store, make sure the animal you are seeking is 100% healthy. My dog is 100% healthy with one slight problem, he is deaf and he is lucky to have gone to a home who will love him and take care of him despite of his disability.

When a puppy is received by Indogneato it is up for sale, but can not go home till it sees a veterinarian and there is a time limit in which they are able to go home. The dogs go very quickly and most of the time spends little time in the store. Indogneato has received and known they have gotten death dogs and in this instance it is let know to the customer that the dog is death. Somehow with this dog it was not detected. If the dog was returned and the customer was refunded at no point would the dog have been considered to be euthanized. The dog would have been checked again by a vet. and if he/she was healthy would be put back up for sale. If the dog was older and they thought it might be hard to sell, the price would have been dramatically lowered ($399-$599) and the new customer would be notified about the condition. If at this point a customer who was interested in the dog thought the price was still to steep a negotiating process would begin until the customer was happy and a price was fair. Indogneato is a very good company to buy from, they care and love very much for the dogs. Dogs do not get sent back to breeders everything is done to make sure the dog gets a good home no matter what the circumstance.
