Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
About 3 years ago I was pushed into purchasing a 2000 Dodge Caravan. About a month later, I realized my finances were not going to allow me to keep the car, so I returned the vehicle. They had advised me that since I was all paid up and on time, they would take care of it and not to worry anymore about it.

A few months later I received a letter saying that they sold the car at auction and they received about $2000 for it. Now 3 years later, I am being sued by Magnum Finance for the remaining balance of the vehicle that I have not owned or operated for almost 3 years. I am trying to finally make a case back against them to show that there has been a line of bad business practices from this company. If you have also been burned by these companies, let me know and I would love to hear what you have to say.

Check this out...

An independent contractor that does occasional work for me purchased a car from these jokers years ago. For awhile I was ordered to garnich his wages because at the time he was an actual employee of my company. Since then, I dissolved my company and am no longer at the physical address that these idiots send letters too.

Because he is an indepenent contractor for my new company, I didn't think I was responsible to pay the garnishment and told them such. After arguing with one of their snotty employees, I hung up in a huff telling them to send resend me the garnishment order becuase I threw the previous one away.

Instead, they filed a suit against me for refusal to comply. Please note, they have been sending letters to my OLD physucal address. I have been ordered by the court to pay this bill. How is this legal if the bill is not in my name nor was I the cosigner? First and foremost the company they are trying to order to pay the bill is dissolved. I called my lawyer to see what I can do.

I really hope somone takes this company down. They seem very shady and illegal!

Hi,

Your right they are legalised crooks and nothing is done about it, the courts let them do whatever they will, they get my income tax for the rest of my life and the balance never goes down, still nothing is done, we need to get these gangsters out of business cause thats all they are is mob bosses.

When you bought it you signed a contract that said that you paid so much down and financed a set amount. When you returned the car you still owed whatever was left over after they sold the car. Even if they never sold the car you still owed what was in the contract with or without possession of the car. Usually these places which cater to high risk customers with poor credit jack up the price of the car way beyond what a normal dealership or private owner would charge and often require a down payment that is essentially what they paid for the car at auction. This is why they sold the car for so little. It was worth very little. Why they are bugging you three years later is a question but you definately owe them money. Next time when somebody says - "Don't worry -we will take care of it. You need not worry anymore" get it in writing.
