Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Interface sets up at malls like Arundel Mills in Hanover Maryland and grabs the attention of parents who are with kids.  They tell the parents the kids are adorable and encourages them to sign up for an audition at the agencies office in Gaithersburg MD.  There you are hard selled by a variety of people to buy an extremely overpriced ridiculous photo shoot for purposes of creating a profile of the talent.  Then they hard sell you again to pay to put those pictures in their database where they claim producers etc. are looking for talent that they need in their shoots and commercials and so on.  If the photo shoot was $100 and entry to the database was $50 then maybe it would be worth it and fun for the kid to have a photo shoot and profile.  It's not.  It can be thousands of dollars per option and multiple people try to sell you, by lying as necessary, to get you to purchase the largest package possible.  One of the points of contact called our house at 9pm the night of the photo shoot to try and upsell us to being in the database for 2 years instead of 1.  The main part of the lie is the work they claim they are going to do on your behalf though while in the database.  They are not an agent so all they do is maintain the database.  Who knows how big the database is, who has access to it, whether the producers or whoever they are actually use it, where those people are located, or how you would possibly get your child to that person's location if they were actually interested.  If that were explained though no one would buy it.  So they say they have a team entirely devoted to sending out your profile to potentially interested parties and you can periodically hit a button in your online account that causes you to receive a activity report to see how you are doing.  Ridiculous.  It's a button to nowhere.  Even if any of this actually exists they have no incentive to send out your child's profile because again they are not an agent so they don't represent the family. The sad thing is when we were at the audition and the photo shoot we saw a lot of families that looked to me like the last thing they had was an extra $2,500 lying around to take part in all of this.  What a waste of money, and pressure to put on the kid.  Anyone who reads this spread the word and if you are considering it do yourself a favor and put the money in 529 plan so your kids might be able to go to college one day.  They will be a lot better off.
