International Library Of Poetry Ripped me off of $136 for 2 books that don't exist, lied to me, put me on hold indefinintely evil dirt bags Owings Mills Maryland
I was so happy when I got 2 poems published, even though I could not afford to buy the books my poems were published in until this past January. At that time I went online and ordered the two books, total $136 was immediately taken from my credit card.
Two and a half months later I had received no word. Tried to call them, got put on hold for over 15 minutes, no answer.
3/25 I got two postcards saying two books I never heard of which they put my poems in without my permission and which I did not order, would have a tentative release date of May and June 2003, respectively.
I do not want those two books. I want my money back. I wrote them a letter, the postcards above were the only answer, with a note for me to feel free to contact customer service at 410-356-2000. I have called that number 5 or 6 times, never have I been on hold less than 10 minutes before hanging up, never have spoken to a real person.
Also, about a month ago, they sent me a letter saying it was too bad I didn't respond to their invitation to speak at Disney World but could I send them $169 and they would hire a professional to read my poem at the symposium and cover the shipping on my trophy.
Just yesterday I got two letters awarding me new prizes and the chance to let them bilk me again by using my poetry.
I want my money back and I want these people put out of business.
