Retained this law firm for divorce case. Told my $2000.00 retainer fee would be waived in exchange for doing some ads after resolution of my case. Met with lawyer ONCE, for 30 minutes. Lawyer was not familiar with my case, and had never spoken with me. All preparation had been handled by paralegal. Charges were obscene! $500.00 to scan documents I provided, $50.00 for an email, voicemail etc just to announce they had received my call or email. I didn't know this firm records all phone calls from their clients. I spoke with a paralegal complaining about the exhorbitant fees, and total lack of direction on my case, unanswered emails and phone calls. Total lack of urgency from this firm. I pointed out I had sent an email to lead attorney with very specific questions, but he said he never received it. I resent the email, and never got an answer from lawyer. I was then called into the office and told that after listening to my phone call complaining about the poor service, I was immediately terminated from further representation. The owner knew nothing about my complaints, nor could care less when I outlined the poor service I had received. He summarily terminated our agreement simply for pointing out the obvious. This "Firm" did absolutely nothing for me except pocket my $2000.00. I would never recommend this "Firm" to anybody. They are nothing more than carnival barkers filling the local radio airwaves with their ads promising something unique, but they are nothing more than typical lawyers-they take your money and deliver nothing! I find it very strange that this firm chooses to record all phone calls from their clients. Usually if you are being recorded, you are made aware of this before the phone call. Makes me wonder why they engage in this practice. I can only assume what happened to me has happened a lot. I always thought the "customer is always right" but this firm cannot take any criticism. Questioning billing in legal proceedings is universal, but if you do with this firm you will be sorry.
