I received the following e-mail:

My name is YEMI DOUGLAS, the manager, credit and Foreignbills of UNION BANK NIGERIA PLC. I am writing in Respect of aforeign customer of my bank [JOHN WELLS]who perished in aplane crash [Ethiopian airline 961] with the whole passengers Aboard.
Since the death of this our customer, I personally has watched with keen interest to see the next of kin but all has proved abortive as no one has come to Claim his funds of usd.16.5 m, [sixteen million five Hundred thousand United Statesdollars] which has been with
my branch for a very long time.
On this note, I decided to seek for whom his name shall beused as the next of kin as no one has come up to be the next ofkin. And the banking ethics here does not allow such money to stay more than seven years, because money will be recalled tothe bank treasury as unclaimed after this period. In view of this I got your contact through a trade journal after realizing that your name and country is similar to the deceased. I will give you 40%of the total sum.
Upon the receipt of your response, I will send you bye-mail the application form and afterward i will tell you the next step to take . I will not fail to bring to your notice that this businessis hitch free and that you should not entertain any fear as allarrangements to ensure that transaction is successfully concluded have been put in place. Make haste as the transactionwill last for only fourteen working days, after you apply to thebank as a relation to the deceased man.

I was totally surprised when I clicked on the URL
http://www.unionbanknig.com/ and found a pornography site.
I was embarrassed, and became angry that a notiable bank, supposedly with a good reputation, would endorse such filthy activity.
I don't know what you can do about this particular e-mail, but blocking this Pornographer's screen name, is not enough. This type of activity should be investigated and criminal charges placed on these people who encourage such nasty behavior.
