When traveling to Singapore- I thought I would try to save a few bucks and fly with a budget airline- Bad Idea. Going there, From Thailand to Singapore was uneventful- but on the return flight- I was at the airport in Singapore over an hour before my flight left. the boarding of the aircraft was not supposed to start for another 45 monutes- But they had closed the Ticket window already- I was told to go to another counter where I was made to stand waiting for 15 minutes as emplyees took cell calls and ignored us- (I was not the only one left unable to get my return flight) Next- I was told there wa no way to get on board I was too late- when I complained that boarding had not even begun- I had no bags to check- they just said- I could get the next flight out- They told me it was already impossible now to make my flight- As I have been to Singapore Airport a few dozen times I still complained and I told them I knew where the boarding gate was and it was less than 300 meters from the entrance-



Nothing mattered- they insisted I was the one in the wrong- that I was not in the "correct line" (I suppose neither were the four other people that were forced to buy new tickets-) Oh yes- you need to pay now- your ticket now Invalid!- Thai people like to smile when they are screwing you- I have seen this game for years living in Thailand- ok another 80 dollars- (the RT ticket was only 75$) now I am paying double- ok- I know there is no way out and I should just bite my lip and take the fall- untill I am scheduled to leave on the next flight- first- they announce a delay- only half an hour- but we remain in the holding area like cows-  then another delay- one hour- so some of us go for a soda or a walk- we return and go through securuty for the thrid time- guess what? now afet waiting for 2 hours- the flight is completely cancelled- we are told they will pay for our lunch and to go to the food court- but no one there will take our boarding passes from this airline- it seems they don't pay their other providers as well-



Lastly we are told a flight will leave at 3pm- a full 5 hours late- now please remember, I arrived at the airport after leaving my hotel at 0530- at 0600 for a flight out at 0730- at 0620 they closed the wondow so I have been at this airport for 9 hours.



we leave- no appologies- no free snack- no reason our lunch was never paid for- just sneers and smiles as they feign a misunderstanding- Leave it to the Thais to never appologize for anything- and they will make you pay through the nose for the privilage of being in the wrong- believe me- it aint worth fighting about-



just don't patronise this "Jet Star" airline if you know what's good for you- you'll end up paying double for a RT ticket that you can get on another budget airline.
