In September 2017 my wife and I were on a jetblue flight to Florida when the flight attendent public addressed a promotion to apply for a Barclays JetBlue credit card and if approved "you will be eligable for two round trip tickers anywhere in the continental United States".

We applied as we are newly retred and discovered JetBlue services our winter destination direct.  We were approved and upon reading my first statemenet saw no miles credited, so I called and was told I needed to charge $1.000 on the card.

After charging more than $1,000 I got my second statement and saw no miles credited.  I called both JetBlue and Barclays and was told I needed to wait a full billing cycle after charging the $1,000+.

I waited to the third month and saw a 15,000 mile credit...not 50,000 needed for "two round trip tickets anywhere in the continenal United States".   Upon inquiry I was given a case number and told to call back in 30 days for resolutiom.

I made the call this week and was told 50,000 miles is needed for "two round trip tickets anywhere in the continental United States.  I was told the application I filled out was a 15,000 mile promotion.  During my communciations with Barclays and Jetble it was inferred that the fligh attendants are likley motivated with an incentive for passangers to fill out credit card applications.  Mine was apparently so incentified they choose to lie.

Whats more discouraging is that not once in any call or communication with either Barclays ot Jetblue was the miles needed questioned or flagged....just when we got down to a final answer.     They were hoping I'd go away.

I was offered a $50 voucher and a promise that Jetblue would look into "its training program".   Im willing to bet the flight attendant, who with intent was misleading, got more than fifty bucks.
