JetMovers ripoff screwed others too Sunrise Florida
I was on the internet looking for a suitable and inexpensive moving company. I came across JetMovers. I called them starting Nov 13,2002. I was asked to give a description of all items that would be transported to Georgia. I was also told that 2.15 cubic feet would be that price.
I fax them a list. I was dealing with customer representative name Mike. Mike then told me my cost for the delivery would be $976.00 with a $100 deposit. I told Mike I would look around to see if their was anymore movers with a smaller rate and I would get back to him. I call Mike back on Dec 30,2002 and decided to go with JetMovers. Mike assured me that my rate is still the same as it was on Nov 13,2002.
Mike stated that my balance would be 846.00 since the $100 deposit. I am to pay the driver when they arrive in White Plains 1/2 of the total which would be $423.00 and the other half when they get to Georgia. I had asked the driver is it going to be more cubic feet since I ended up with 10 more boxes. I only had 10 boxes listed and ended up with 10 more.
I then ask the movers would that increase my total. "The driver name Alf stated he could not tell until all the furniture and boxes were on the truck. Once the furniture and boxes were packed in on the truck which was a 10X17 Budget truck and stated that my total had increase to $770.00.
I told him I was given one price and now you are giving me another price. The movers came to White Plains, NY on Jan 17,2003. The refuse to release my furniture until Jan 22 and the balance they were asking for $770.00 more. I had spoke to the owner of the company name Yossi Harle and was told I could not have my furniture until my balance was paid.
When 22nd came my furniture still wasn't there Yossi Harle told me that the truck broke down in Tampa and I will recieve it on the Jan 27. It finally came but I was out of $770.00. the contract also stated that the company will reassembly your furniture in which they didnt.
