This is a warning to all Massachusetts, homeowners, real estate investors, private money lenders, or other contractors to stay away from Joseph Rizzari, Rizzari Brothers Construction and Mike Oconnor.

First Jospeh Rizzari is an attorney that got his licensed taken away by the authorites. He has scammed and cheat  many homeowners for doing shoddy work and not paying his bills.  He has numerous complaints about him with Section 8 and many local tenants in the Worcester Mass. area.

I would advise all people to stay away from this person 100%.  Attention: Realtors, attorneys, CPA(he claims to be a cpa) but NOT registered with State of Mass.

He has numerous lawsuits against him for bad workmanship and NOT paying his bills on time including his mortgages with local companies.

he will sell you on doing business with him.. but DO NOT DO IT.. you will lose money....

I am writing this rebuttal to this gutless crackpot's allegations in his complaint.   I will adress each and every allegation in the complaint:

Scammed and cheated homeowners?  How so?  If you will notice that this crackpot never includes any facts whatsoever in the complaint.  We've been in business for 13 years and there has never been a complaint with the better business bureau, there has never been a complaint filed against my construction licenses.  Moreover, if someone did a plaintiff/defendant index search in Worcester county, they will see that my name never appears as a defendant.  It does however, appear as a plaintiff, as we do a lot of evictions.  Because this author is anonymous, I can't be certain, but I strongly suspect that this is a tenant that I had evicted in June.  Scammed hoemowners?  Well get your facts straight, we do very little work for homeowners - less than 1% of our work is offered to the general public.  We are a rehab company that does work for investors only.  Only on rare occasion will be asked to to work for homeowners.  But there have never been any complaints whatsoever.

Numerous lawsuits for bad workmanship?  Why don't you post where these are?  The sad fact remains that there are none.  Again, anyone can use this site to post outrageous statements without verification.

Numerous complaints about him regarding section 8?  If this were true then why would section 8, Freindly House, Inc., RCAP, and a few other state agencies actually seek us out?  The fact is that all of our units are section 8 compliant and we adhere to their rigorous standards.  If this were true,  they certainly would withhold rents and we wouldn't get paid, nor would we get more section 8 business.  As far as tenants and problems with them, well, the ones that pay their rent timely we never have a problem with.  In fact, most tenants that move end up staying with us and want us as landlords.  The only problem I have with teantns are the nonpayers, we move swiftly and decisively to evict deadbeats.  I suspect that this complainant is probably one of them.

Not paying bills on time and mortgages with local companies?  Who?  Where are they?  This is just more mud thrown against the wall in hopes that it sticks.  If this were the case, would you care to explain how in the world are we able to finance out many millions of dollars worth of property?  or how we are able to get credit and credit facilities?  If someone wants to bother and do a grantee check at the registry of deeds in Worcester, they will see that we have purchased millions of dollars woth of property under either Sedona Realty Group, LLC or Christmas Oaks Development, LLC.  How is this possible if we were in fact stiffing banks and creditors? 

Now, for my professional licenses.  As far as being a CPA, I am.  MY license is 12406.  Get your facts straight, however.  My license is inactive as I do not practice accounting.  It was not "taken away" as you allege.  I haven't taken the CPE credits to maintain it as active, as I do not practice accounting any longer.  With respect to my license to practice law, that was suspended for 18 months.  It was suspended because during the period of time that this occured, one of my children was diagnosed as being severely autistic.  It affected me greatly, and I suffered through a very significant depression where I basically gave up on everything, including a thriving law practice.  But there were no acts of deceit, dishonesty or theft.  I was eligible to get it reinstated in 2001 but I never went back, as it wasn't a fulfilling career.  I just hope that nobody has to go through what I went through with an autistic child - the news is as devastating as the death of a child.

While I love the concept of this forum, its also subject to abuse and vendetta.  Whoever posted the complaint, why did you decide to go anonymous?  Why not put some very specific facts in here if this was legitimate?  But you didn't do that here, instead you decide to lurk in the shadows and try and cowardly assasinate someone's character. 

If anyone has questions, they are free to e-mail me or call me, as my numer and e-mail address is listed on this site.  But I would be more concerned with someone that had very specific complaints and allegations rather than the dijointed ramblings of a disgruntled troll.
