Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Julian Selby, contractor and  owner of Innovative and Concepts LLC (he is also the owner of Mot Deck Inc) was working on the adjoining house next door when he knocked over my chimney when extending a wall upward next door, put holes in my roof, and damaged the connecting wall between the 2 houses. This resulted in water damage and mold making the house unlivable so I can't rent it out.

Even worse, his company Innovative Concepts and Designs has gone out of business. However, he may have another company name Mot Deck, Inc. that is in business or was in business. (He is based in Delaware so anyone from Delaware or the tristate region of Pennsylvania or Jersey beware of Julian Selby)

Apparently, Julian Selby also damaged the house on the other side of the house that he was working on so that's 2 houses he damaged when he was doing construction house. Or should I say 3 because the house he was working on was never finished and he must have caused real damage there

City of Philadelphia condemns house worked on by Innovative Concepts and Designs

Fri, January 15, 2010

The City of Philadeplhia (Department of Licenses and Inspections)  has put a sign up condemning the house that Julian Selby of Innovative Concepts and Designs had previously worked on. Not only that but they put up barricades in front of the house to prevent the possibility that someone could fall through the rotting wooden boards that are covering the holes in front of the house.

Julian Selby -Innovatice Concepts and Designs, Delaware - the most incompetent contractor you will ever meet in your life

Julian Selby of Innovative Concepts and Designs does not tell the whole truth in his rebuttal.

The information for his insurance company was given to me by the homeowner whose property he worked on. Yes, I did file a claim and receive reimbursement from his insurance company. However, my own contractor was kind enough to reduce his estimate to match what the insurance company was willing to give as the insurance company was not willing to reimburse me for mold remediation. Also his insurance company did not reimbuurse me for my lost rent.

I also want to emphasize that I did indeed try to contact Julian Selby because the homeowner of the adjoining property did give me his contact information (or else I would have had no way of knowing how to get in touch with him). I did try to call Julian Selby several times but his style of communication was to deny that he was Julian Selby and then hang up as soon as he heard my voice.

Also Julian Selby not only damaged the interconnecting walls but he made a hole in my roof and knocked over my chimney was is the true cause of the water damage to my house. In addition he (or a subcontractor who worked for him made holes in the sidewalk that are covered by wooden boards that will eventually disintegrate). This is visible to anyone who walks down the street.

Julian Selby also caused a lot of the damage to the house next door. He damaged the interconnecting walls and he compromised their roof joints. The neighbors on the other side of the house he worked on also had to file a claim with the contractors liability insurance and I provided them with that information. Otherwise they would have been out the  $8000 they spent to have a contractor fix his damages.

If you want to hire the most extremely incompetent contractor who is not even insured (he cancelled his insurance in April 2009 but the damage he caused happened before then) you will ever meet in your life then Julian Selby of Innovative Concepts and Designs in Delaware is  the contractor for you.

Rebuttal to Ms. Wendy Pincus complaint

#4REBUTTAL Owner of company

Mon, October 12, 2009

I am writing this rebuttal because it would do me more good to respond to this non-customers complaint then to ignore it because of it's inconsistcy of telling the whole story. I was working on a 80+ years row house on Earp St. in south Philly next to Ms. Wendy Pincus. Any one who knows about those houses, they where built enter twine with each other so that everyone shares party walls. While working on this building, which was a complete gut job and addition, we replace some floor joist that ran clear through  Ms. Pincus wall. Taking these joists out left holes in her wall. However, we took before and after pictures of her wall before we sent a crew to completely refinish her walls and paint them. As far as this report that was written around the 25th. of August 09', Ms. Pincus neglected to mention that once we I found out about her complaint, i opened a claim with my insurance company,"Donegal ins. group". If I was anyway responsible for any damage done to her, or anyone else's property, I do have insurance that covers the liability of my company. This claim was filed August 7th. The claim #CT-DE-01-09-0091236, Donegal Insurance Group, 717-426-1931. Ms. Wendy made this report at the end August because she was very impatient with the investigation of the claim. Nevertheless, she did sign a settlement with my insurance company and that clam is now closed. As far as the house i was working on, the bank stopped all construction pay-outs do to the economy and that put a hold the completion of the project to later date, however that house is 80% done. I haven't received any other reports from anyone else connected to the earp st project. A note to Ms. Pincus, tell the whole truth next time and stop being so mean. I pray that you would accept Christ one day. He can give you a Joy that no one else's can. I will keep you i my prayers, God bless you, Julian
