JUNO ripoff ripoff thieves Olyphant Pennsylvania
Once Juno has your CC number they consider it as an invitation for a self-service into your wallet. Don't give your wallet to these criminals, unless you have too much money and you don't know what to do with it.
First they offered me a free membership but like many companies they wanted my CC # in order to give me the free membership. I just wanted to try Juno and cancelled the service before the free month expired.
Then I did not hear anything from Juno for many months. I kept using my Juno email account and from time to time I clicked some links I received in my emails. In April/2000 Juno charged me $ 15.57 using the CC # I had given to them for the "Free Service". When I called them up to ask them to explain these charges to me that told me that I had signed up for a 3 cents/minute plan.
This was an outrageous lie- I had never heard anything about this plan until that day and I talked to a supervisor. He insisted that I had signed up for this plan and did not want to give a refund. The other thing was that I never spent 8.7 hours using Juno. They told me that these 8.7 hours were accumulated in 3 months. If they had charged me a smaller amount after the first month I could have stopped this bullshit earlier that's why they did not hurry to charge my CC.
I still kept using their free email service and a couple of weeks ago I had to reformat my harddrive because there was a virus on it. When I tried to "Import" my email account, Juno did not want to accept my password. In order to retrieve a password you need a PIN number. I never had created one before and never new about the PIN number. Under "Help" Juno explains: "You can create the PIN number, using your password. I sent them an email and they wanted me to call a 1-900 number for $ 1.95/ minute. I don't think so, I better save that money for a sexline.
