K & G Service Center Rip off transmission job! East Orange, New Jersey
I've brought my car to K & G auto service center Located in East Orange, NJ to get my transmission fixed for $2000.00. I was told it will be rebuilt, and will be givin to me in a couple of days.
It actually took me over a week and a half to have that job done. Hollis, (the mechanic), assured me I will have a 12 mnth warrenty.
When my car was finally picked up, He claims I misunderstood, and I will only receive a 6 mnth warrenty.
So I finally left the shop, thinking my car was fine, and 2 mnths later, my transmission was not working once again.
I notified the mechanic, after argueing about a bad job that was done, he agreed to look into it again.
Since I did have my warrenty, I agreed to bring my car in. After 3 days of him looking into my transmission, He called me and said all he can do is patch it up, and I have a problem with another part of my car,and I will have to give him an addtional $500 for him to fix the entire problem.
Something didn't seem right so I took my car to a large auto shop, so I can recieve a full diagnostic and to see if what infact Hollis told me was true.
The results came in, and There was nothing else wrong with my car at all that will cause any problems with my transmission.
Its now after my so called warranty, and my transmission is completely shut down again. I refuse to go back to this company.
All this money I paid, and I'm sure I never got a rebuilt transmission. I just recieved a patch up job from he beginning, and now I'm out of a warranty, and a car.
