Kelvinator/electrolux Kelvinator $200 hook ripoff redeemable amount on purchase of an air conditioner Melbourne victoria
Kelvinator/electrolux offered a $200 cash back if a particular model of air conditioner was purchased. My elderly parents chose this product on this sales pitch. The redemption had to be mad on line and they are computer illiterate and asked me to do it on their behalf. Now I am not the most tech savvy person but this was so difficult it was ridiculous. The application would not accept my email and passwors, could not move beyond the terms and conditions box. Sent all the paperwork to the company with a letter and they called me back leaving a digit short on the number, finally contacted them and they explained it had to be done online and I would need to create an email for my dad so the name matched that on the receipt. I commented it was all too complex and I may give up and the person I was speaking to laughed. My dad does not have a computer. I tried again only to have the web page continually expire when I got to a certain point. My parents dont need the money but its the principle here. They will never buy another kelvinator product and I would like to let people know ignore these cash back redemptions when deciding upon a product. Repeated emails to them have been overlooked.
