Keystone Custom Homes Shoddy Workmanship Lancaster Pennsylvania
In 2009 we purchased what was to be our dream home from Keystone Custom Homes. It is true...all that glitters is not gold. My home is approx 2300 sq. feet and only my husband and I live here. Needless to say the wear and tear is not extreme. The workmanship is horrible. All of my floors are uneven; the grout around the tub in the master bath is cracked and the tub is pullingn away from the wall; in the main bath it feels as though there is no support under the tub and it will crack at any minute. When we walk in the spare bedroom - the floors creak so loudly that anyone downstairs thinks you are falling through the ceiling! All of the basebords on the stairs is pulling away from the wall. On top of all of this - the insulation is horrible! On cold windy nights you can literally feel the wind coming through the walls!! For a year I attempted to have Keystone come back and do the 12 month walk through. It never happened and they closed my survey stating it was past the time I was able to complete it. Here we are almost five years later, two years since the development has been completeed and the streets have yet to be turned over to the township which means we are at the mercy of Keystone when t comes to snow removal, etc. They do a terrible job - the last snow we received, they plowed half of the development. I have been kicking myself for having built with Keystone! We built a $300K dollar house and feel if we had spent half of that with someone else we would be better off!! Just be aware that if you chose to build with Keystone...all that glitters is not gold!
