I purchased my 2005 Kia in June 2005. The 1st day I took the car home the service light came on and I was told by the Salesman that the light had to be reset but I had to take a day off work and take the car in.

A few months later the head light went out took it in replace, to months later the same light went out they replace but didn't give me a service receipt because the office wasn't open. I took the car in for service maintenance and had to get some treatment for the gas line and I purchased the gas from BP. Then my brakes had to be replaced.

Then a few months later had brake problems again took it back to the dlr they fixed them and I asked was there a recall or somthing and he said no. That's all he said.

Ok took the car in for a oil change on a Tuesday and Friday my service light was on again. Took the car in on Monday and was told that I blew a spark plug and it was not covered under warranty and that it was going to cost 489.00 and extra for the plantium. I looked at the maintenance paper and saw that the spark plug was not supposed to be replace until 60,000 and I am only at about 30,000to 31000.

So I called Kia Corp Office and they told me that it should be covered under the warranty so they called the dlr and they (John Evergreen Kia Service Mgr.) would replace underwarranty. I asked Corp why was he trying to charge me they couldn't give me an answer.

So the nex day I call to see if the car was ready because (John promised to call but never did) everyday he had a different excuse on why my car was not ready form changing a tube to finding metal in the head. John was suppose to send the head out on but not until a couple days later. I was told that I should get the car back on Tuesday but when I called back Tuesday he was just sending a porter out to get the head and I should have it back late the next day.

Why should I have to go without a car for almost 2 weeks which I am paying a car note and it has to be a factory defect when metal is found in the head and the service or Kia wont give me a loaner . I am disgusted with Kia

SERVICE MGR DON'T KNOW IT SPARK PLUG WAS CHANGED

After almost two weeks and I don't know how many phone calls to Kia Service of Evergreen and Kia Corp, I received my car and on the Maintenance sheet I showed I declined the maintenance work and needed spark plugs, I asked the Mgr and he couldn't tell me it spark plug had been changed I need to call the next day talked to the Sharon who wrote it up she said no they were not changed and I would have to pay and I told her like I told them from the begging it should be covered under the warranty and Kia Corp also told them, so spoke with John again and he said the problem was taken care of I asked if I could get paper work showing this he tells me no because Its a closed dlr. called and left message at Kia Corp.
