On February 16, 2006 I commissioned Killer Kustoms Inc (Chris Stanton, Hyla Stanton) owners to build/complete a 1951 Mercury automobile that they had advertised on eBay. Over 90 days I paid out over $90,000.00 on the project and after four months I saw little progress. I told Mr. Stanton that I wanted a refund of $80,000 and the vehicle turned over to me. The vehicle at this point was a shell of a body, no interior, glass, just a shell and a bare chassis with the rear axle installed, valued at less than $10,000. Chris told me to come by that weekend and he would comply.

When I arrived, I discovered his landlord had chained the doors shut with several vehicles inside including mine. Mr. Stanton had defaulted on his lease and the landlord had seized the property. I contacted the landlord and he made arrangements for me get access to my Mercury. I contacted Mr. Stanton and informed him I was taking possession of the car. Mr. Stanton then offered to deliver the car to me with his trailer and give me the $80,000 I requested.

When I arrived at his shop to observe the loading and to be sure all the parts I had purchased were accounted for, I was met by several 'thugs' who were hired by Mr. Stanton to keep me out of the shop and to 'protect' him. The car was loaded with all of my parts inside and delivered to another shop to complete. Mr. Stanton then failed to produce the promised funds. It was fortunate that Mr. Stanton had his 'thugs' in attendance!

I have made every attempt to locate Mr. Stanton and in doing so, I discovered that he is a well known scammer defrauding hundreds of hard working families under the guise of Risk Management Partners LTD, and Miracle Management Group Inc. If you search on either of these companies you will be shocked at the fraud these two have perpetrated. If any of you have had issues with Killer Kustoms Inc, please contact me or post on this forum. He is out there, I will find him, he will pay!

Wow what a story. Here is what really happened: I sold you a 1951 Mercury for $67,000 not $90,000.  I did have 3 full time employees working for four months and here is what they completed: The body had rolled pan bumpers with nissian headlights fabrcated into the body. The hood was louverd. The wiring harness was installed, as well as a Dakota Digital Dash w/remote door poppers, door panel and Cadillac leather seats.c It also has a Chrome Ididt steering column and chrome colorado custom steering wheel. The engine was a 383 stroker with a Wieiand Blower fully dressed in chrome. The frame was also custom with a Camaro sub frame, four-link rear suspension and a cut 9-inch rear, tubbed and channeled. We also installed a top of the line air ride suspension. The car had been chopped 4 inches with frenched Cadillac taillights, and reinforced suicide doors. Oh yea, and we installed vintage air ac. If you have trouble remembering I have plenty of pictures and video of this project. We were very proud of the car.
Why did we stop working together? I found out from my painter Tom that you and my other employees, Harley and Red that were looking for you own shop to become my competitor and take my employees. This broke any trust we had which is vital in any project. So we both agreed to have the car removed from my shop. I did deliver it with Tom who is hardly a thug; more like Otis from Andy Griffith show. It was never locked up in my shop as you claim. It was not just a shell, and I never agreed to give you any money. I barely broke even on this job. I am not a scammer: I had a huge company close and unfortuntly had some customers caught in the middle to whom I have personally been making restitution. If you need to meet with me to discuss, call me at (480) 253-9188.

Best Regards, Chris Stanton
