King Mountain Tobacco ran a raffle scam and collected sensitive information White Swan Washington
King Mountain Tobacco set up a local-store-only raffle and said they would draw on site at the end of September. The raffle entry form collected contact information and sensitive personal info, ostensibly to prove the validity of the entree. Instead of holding a raffle, a company representative took all the raffle tickets off site the day before the supposed drawing, and then called in a name no one recognized (small, local store - the winner would have been a regular or a noticable stranger) about a week later. And now they have a lot of personal info and did not even have to pay out the raffle winnings to get it.
