Dear Town Council Member
I'm sending you a follow up letter, I previously sent to you on October 14, 2007.
Re: Several hundred residents on Krzak Road are at risk of their water pipes freezing. There is a violation of the building code
I called and emailed Gary Tedeschi the building inspector several times between September 05, 2007 and September 26, 2007. He did not return my calls or email.
I spoke to Michael Embury by telephone on October 18, 2007 He informed me that he had spoken to Gary Tedeschi the building inspector about this mater. He said that the problem was solved.Well my friends attached are pictures of the results of the problem being solved.
Picture A. The pipe was covered by stones.
B. & C. After the stones were removed exposing the pipe.
D. The heat tape is still detached from the end of the pipe.
Putting the stones over the pipe was done by Judy Krzak on October 18, 2007. The next day George Krzak admitted that she had put the stones over the pipe.
I'm issuing a complaint to you the town fathers. I don't want this problem to become a catastrophic event. Hundreds of residents will be in dire need of water in the middle of winter if their pipes freeze.
I feel the job has not been done to North Kingstown building code and it's been an unreasonable time for us to wait for the job to be completed. The work was started last year on the water pipes of A. & B. sections.
