During the last week in June, I paid $57.00 for the paperback self published book titled "The Shepherd's Diet". It was shipped to me within 3 days. I gave K. Wilds the benefit of the doubt after watching a very lengthy presentation on her website.
However, upon reading about 30 pages of her 195 page book, I was convinced she may have convinced herself that her diet was beneficial, but it not only made little sense to me, but my family physician promptly vetoed it. I believe those who are having trouble eliminating fat from their diet in their quest to loae weight would gravitate toward such a tempting diet, taking a journey to a disastrous end!
I politely requested via e-mail a mailing address in order to return the book as well as a confirmation e-mail (upon receipt of the book) indicating my account has been reimbursed $57. I sent second e-mail yesterday, stronger in tone. Both e-mails have been ignored, thus their return & reimbursement policies are not worth the paper it's printed on.

I'm sorry your doctor vetoed this diet. Many doctors are unaware of the changes in medical thought due to new research. Perhaps asking a second doctor would be helpful, a young one who has had access to newer medical knowledge. One week of trying this diet will not harm you, and if you see positive results, it would be worth taking to your doctor to help him/her understand that there have been changes in medical thought. I'm equally sorry the company has not responded to your request. They have a FB page. You could voice your concerns there. If your doctor has been unable to help you lose weight, assuming you asked him/her for help first, maybe you need a new doctor. Greatest of wishes for your best health.
