LA FITNESS Still charging bank account monthly after sending back their form to cancel membership 4/2/09 have delivery confirmation from USPS that they received it. A manager is supposed to call me back on Monda Vista, California

My husband joined this heath club over a year ago and did not like it or get the use out of it that he had hoped for. He told the people at the club he wanted to cancel membership. He was given a form to fill out and mail in to them. He did that on 4/2/09 and sent it via USPS with delivery confirmation. I just started taking over the finances and noticed they have continued to charge him, sometimes twice in a month for 19.99 each. He notified them of the problem last year and they are still making deductions. I called them today and the girl who answered the phone said I would have to talk to a manager and she was not there today that she would leave a message for her to call me back on Monday. She said they will need to see the confirmation slip. That is not a problem. The problem is there is a year of charges that I want reimbursed. I will give a update and let you know how it goes. You would think a letter and follow up conversations would be enough.
