 I was a lifetime member of Bally's gym. LA Fitness took over the Bally's in MD and agreed to accept my Bally's lifetime agreement. I always received a bill from Bally's and paid it. When LA Fitness took over they did not send a bill. Realizing that I had not received a bill I went to the White Marsh LA Fitness gym to pay my renewal fee of 29.00. Person at the desk gave me a key membership and said that they would mail the bill to my home and that everything was fine. Did not receive the bill and called 2 -3 times, no one would give me information and they said that they would call me back. Never heard from anyone, so I walked to LA Fitness in Towson. Chad Fike the operations Manager said that the last payment was 3/27/12 and my membership appeared to be expired. He advised me to call Corporate which I did. I spoke to a woman named Alex. She said that she would call me back. I called her on 4/25/14, it is now 4/29/14 and I have not heard back from her. Meanwhile I emailed corporate on 4/25/14 and explained my situation.

Today on 4/29/14 I received an email from Jason W. and he stated my membership was expired and suggested I go to the club and renew at the current rates. I purchased this membership in 2003, for 800.00 and have paid every bill since that time. I can provide paperwork on the fact that I received a bill and kept this membership in good standing. LA Fitness took over and agreed to honor all Bally's lifetime members, but they neglected to send a bill out, or even a letter saying that they will not be sending out a bill. I believe that they are trying to weed out the lifetime Bally's because they can make more money selling new memberships at an inflated fee. I did not go to the gym in 2013 because of a foot injury, but I always thought that I was up to date on payment and able to use it again when I was better. Donna Maryland
