Apartment La Rumba 100.3FM False
WARNING FOR ALL. PLEASE READ TO THE END. Beware and do not be fooled by the "competition" they are advertising in the Rumba 100.3FM. I tell them that my wife did the same yesterday 5/18/2010. Poor
call me very excited (almost crying) because he had won a contest they
are doing in the Rumba 100.3 FM and as she had been among the first 5
calls and had responded well to the response in the competition. We're a little strapped for money and a "free" to Punta Cana, Disney and Miami was a windfall. He tears out because we were finally able to carry the child (our daughter) to Disney. When you hear all that he had "won" and I was very surprised to find out a bit thick. I
am a graduate of the Academy of criminology at the center of Florida
and after 9 months of training and to be studied and shared with many
of the officers, detectives, etc ... of
different agencies in the area opened up for me a little more eyes to
all the garbage that unfortunately exists in the world, including
experts scammers like these.
THE COMPETITION is false and misleading. Fees are charged for taxes, etc ... ($
379.99 in our case but obviously this can vary) then they will demand
pay for the flights (the "Contest says he earns a free trip) a trip for
which you have to pay is not free. Truth?? The initial amount for taxes, administrative fees, etc ... are not refundable. You attend lectures require 3 hours or more to promote the hotel or whatever they are selling. This is not what you say about entrance, you find out later.
These people have no compassion and are very intelligent, they know that most people end up calling, # 1. They have no money to hire a lawyer. # 2. Most often feel so ashamed that she will not comment on that one. # 3. Assume they are poor and ignorant who can not defend themselves.
They
understand that when a person is in a state of great enthusiasm for
winning a "contest" with so many prizes, which is being promoted on a
local station legitimate and well known, this person tends to lose
their instinctive defenses and this will makes it easier to cheat. The
fast-talking representative to confuse and avoid that capture all the
information and do not mention that more charges will be the initial
charge. This
you learn when you call later to book the "free ride" that "won" I
congratulated profusely and ask that you would like to do during your
vacation, or feel the "win" a "grand prize" etc ....
The saddest part is that a season so well known and loved by everyone pay for this kind of false.
In the U.S., According to the Law of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC Act)
Advertising must be truthful and not misleading;
Advertisers must have evidence to support their claims, and
Ads can not be unfair.
You have rights. All
who have been affected by these false ads should go to
www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov or call 1-877-382-4357 to inform the FTC
has primary responsibility to determine whether an ad is false or
misleading and take action against the advertiser. Also (According to the information found on the government website www.fcc.gov / cgb / consumerfacts / advertising.pdf)
The FCC also requires the following radio stations:
"Broadcasters
(eg. La Rumba 100.3 FM) are responsible for selecting the broadcast
material that is broadcast on their stations, including advertising.
The FCC expects broadcasters to be accountable to the communities they
serve and to act with reasonable
care to ensure that advertisements broadcast on its stations are not
false or misleading "Again" false or misleading "
As you can see, both the station La Rumba 100.3 FM as the poster are responsible and may be penalized for their actions.
This is not the first time (nor the last) that something like this happens. If

years will see that they are using these tricks to steal the audience
or viewers of several radio and television stations in worldwide.
If you have been affected by this or another similar scam do not give up and act today. Call the FTC directly (1-877-382-4357) to inform them. When
several of us to do this will achieve # 1 that the false ad is removed
by the radio station # 2 that the radio station to pay more attention
and more accountable for delivering advertising on its stations, # 3
will help prevent follow him stealing the money to many who unfortunately do not know how to defend yourself or do not have the means.
Also contact the local TV stations to make them aware. If
the cheat continue, much of the research end stations themselves and
the information discovered can be delivered to the authorities upon
proof that a crime being committed.
Prepare and are always alert. Remember this: Ignorance kills people.
Let's put an end to all these vile crooks who take advantage of the nobility of many to swindle ruthlessly.
Personally I will be reporting to the FTC and raise up a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I
will also informal what happened to the radio station La Rumba 100.3 FM
and ask as a resident of this community that remove the false
announcement to prevent fraudsters continue to do so much damage.
La Rumba 100.3 FM has always been outstanding and known for a radio station that is honest for the people and represents. I
think they are not personally involved but I think their advertising
department should take better measures to ensure that the information
they report is legitimate in its season as required by the FCC and
promoting these scams to complete such a large audience that wants and trust them both.
